In the episode, journalist Rodrigo Polito talks to Jo\u00e3o Pedro Bastos, head of PSR\u2019s international market studies, about the decarbonization study of the 18 member countries of the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF).<\/p>\n<p>Conducted by PSR\u2019s international studies team, the project involved the preparation of energy supply expansion plans for each CAF member country. The study considered two scenarios: a reference scenario and another for energy transition, thus totaling 36 expansion plans. Furthermore, the research incorporated an analysis of the regulatory and institutional framework and the development of an action strategy for the CAF.<\/p>\n<p>To carry out the supply expansion scenarios, PSR\u2019s OptGen (generation expansion) and SDDP (long-term electrical dispatch optimization) computational tools were used.<\/p>\n<p>The results obtained in the study will help CAF in financing the energy transition in Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>Check out the video at this link: <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/YkhVJsWxAI0\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/YkhVJsWxAI0<\/a><\/div>\n<p><!-- .vgblk-rw-wrapper --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The new edition of Por Dentro da PSR (Inside PSR) is now on air.
