PHYSICAL GUARANTEE CALCULATION: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY

OPINION

In this editorial, PSR analyzes the current official methodology for calculating Physical Guarantee (PG), the risks related to the change of critical period, and shows that it is possible to calculate the correct PGs that meet all methodological requirements using the computational models NEWAVE and DECOMP.

WATER RESOURCES

In the water resources section, we discuss the controversies surrounding the removal of hydroelectric dams as a river rehabilitation.

In this section, we comment on the criticized mechanism of carbon credits based on tree planting, used by companies committed to the climate issue.

This section addresses the publication of the Colombian Government on the resolution that implements the selection process for issuing provisional grants for offshore wind projects.
