Portability Project: Devil Hides in Details...

OPINION

The subject of this issue is to analyze the so-called “Portability Project” and suggest some ways to ensure success in its implementation, if approved, resulting in maximum advantages for consumers, agents and the society.

In this section we deal with: (i) new decree substantially alters the commercial model of the Electrical Sector; (ii) the processing of provisional measure nr.735; and (iii) the planning horizon of energy operations.

The purpose of this issue is to analyze facts – and “factoids” - about deforestation connected to hydroelectric plants.

INTERNATIONAL

In this issue we discuss: (i) the present situation of the solar energy market in Sub-Saharan Africa, in face of the successful solar auction in Zambia; and (ii) the interesting south- Australian program for transition into a generating system 100% renewable.

SUPPLY

This issue presents the updated balance of energy demand and structural supply for the coming years, including our traditional delay meter.
