Gas for growth: harmonizing the electrical and natural gas sectors

OPINION

The focus of this issue is the topic “harmonization between the electricity and the natural gas sectors” of the MME program Gás para Crescer [Gas for Growth].

REGULATIONS

The topics analyzed are: (i) ANEEL’s public hearing on the marketing rules for 2017; (ii) MME Public Consultation on computational models and related topics; and (iii) Public Consultation on the electrical energy free market.

WATER RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT

We examine in this issue the worrying resumption of deforestation and the measures to combat it.

INTERNATIONAL

We analyze in this issue (i) the policies adopted for developing renewable energies in Argentina and the results of their first auction; and (ii) the role of distributed generation in the insertion of solar energy in Africa.

SUPPLY

This issue presents the updated balance of structural demand and supply of energy for the coming years, including our traditional delay meter.
