It's Alive! Bill Of CP 33 On The Way To Reality

In this editorial, PSR presents its reflections on the draft Law for the Modernization and Opening of the Free Electric Energy Market and points out its opinions on the topics addressed, indicating which could be improved and/or deepened and which could still be contemplated.

Exceptionally, there will be no Regulations section in this Energy Report issue.

In this issue, we comment on the feasibility of expansion of the Brazilian generating facilities with hydroelectric plants.

The international section presents an analysis of market experiences of Chile, Colombia and Mexico in terms of expansion of the gas pipeline network and transport tariffs, to which Brazil can look up so as to structure its market model.

This section features the updated balance of energy demand and structural supply for the coming years, including our traditional delay meter.

Electronically published since 2006, the PSR Energy Report is a monthly newsletter developed by PSR, whose main objective is to present a comprehensive and current analysis of regulatory, legal issues, water resources and environment and supply of the electricity sector in Brazil.
