In this editorial, PSR presents the methodology and results of the study prepared for Instituto Escolhas about the real costs and benefits of electricity generation sources in Brazil, which are the starting point for discussions on expansion planning and pricing of attributes.

In this issue, we discuss the following topics: (1) MME public consultation on capacity auction; (2) resolution of the National Energy Policy Council on Angra 3; and (3) MME public consultation on guidelines for the planning of electric power transmission.

WATER RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT

In this issue, we discuss the IPCC report on climate change, present its conclusions on the magnitude of the 1.5°C and 2°C global warming impacts across the various sectors of the economy and talk about the paths to be specifically followed in the energy sector to limit the rise of global temperature.

This edition presents the updated balance of demand and structural supply of energy for the next years, including our traditional Delay Meter.
