WORKING BETWEEN TWO LIMITS: PUBLIC AUDIENCE OF PLD'S FLOOR AND CAP

OPINION

In this editorial, we discuss the contribution made by PSR in the first phase of Public Hearing No. 22/2019, which discusses the revision of the minimum and maximum limits of the Difference Settlement Price – PLD. We address some issues related to the subject that will certainly have to be deepened in the coming months and years, so that we can have a dynamic and functional short-term market that induces efficient behavior by agents.

REGULATORY

In the regulatory section this month we invited Sylvie D'Apote and Yanna Clara Prade, from Prysma E&T Consultores, to provide our readers with a reflection on the recent proposals regarding the reform of the natural gas market. We also comment on the judicialization effect on the risk perception of the transmission sector.

WATER RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT

Exceptionally, there will be no Water Resources and Environment section in this Energy Report issue.

INTERNATIONAL

In this section, we analyze the natural gas market in Argentina, which still has a massive potential to be explored, and the main obstacles for the country to become an energy hub of the Southern Cone.

This edition features the updated balance of demand and structural supply of energy for years to come, including our traditional Delay Meter.
