The purpose of this editorial is to present, through four case studies, a discussion of the conflicts between water uses and the power sector. These examples are part of a study developed between PSR and Instituto Escolhas on the water-energy-food nexus presented at a seminar organized by Folha de São Paulo newspaper in November 2019.
In this section, we comment on the Cadastral Data Evaluation Working Group (GTDP), coordinated by ONS with the participation of EPE, CCEE, and hydroelectric agents, which worked on the updating of parameters of the hydroelectric plants of the Brazilian Electric System.
