Climate change: has the future arrived?

OPINION

In this section we describe a recent study on climate change impacts on Brazilian hydroelectric production, conducted by INPE, COPPE and PSR, and sponsored by Strategic Affairs Secretariat [Secretaria de Assuntos Estratégicos] (SAE). The results are worrying and indicate that hydroelectric projects planning and investment decisions must already take into account these impacts.
