Joined PSR in June of 2013 and is currently responsible for managing projects developed with both Brazilian and foreign companies, in the areas of portfolio management (physical and financial), investment analysis, electricity trading, calculation and risk assessment and decision-making under uncertainty. Works with a quantitative and strategic focus in studies where regulatory, commercial and risk assessment overlap. Before joining PSR, Edmundo worked at Brookfield Gestão de Ativos as a portfolio manager of quant funds, developing and implementing trading algorithms. He holds a cum laude degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a master's degree (MSc) in Energy Planning from COPPE / UFRJ. He is the author of scientific articles published in international journals focused on the energy sector, related to the application of statistical methods for decision-making under uncertainty and trading. During graduation, he received a scientific initiation scholarship at the Modeling, Analysis and Development of Computer Networks at COPPE/UFRJ.
