Has a BSc in EE and graduate courses in power system analysis (Germany). He is responsible for PSR’s Information Technology area and coordinates the transmission-related model development. Mr. Thomé has been involved in the development of transmission tariffs models (Studio Tariff), AC optimal power flow and network modeling in SDDP (Studio Opera). He has also carried out transmission tariffs studies in China; network planning studies in Brazil, El Salvador and other Latin American countries; specification of an integrated planning / operations data base for the SIEPAC project (integration of the Central America power markets); analysis of the US West Coast system; and a parallel processing implementation of SDDP. Previously, Mr. Thomé was a researcher at Cepel, where he managed the development of network analysis software (AC power flow and electromechanical transient analysis).
