Has integrated experience in industry, government, and academia, having worked in Brazil and in more than 30 countries in areas related to public policy, planning, operations, regulation, economics, and modeling in the energy sector, earning worldwide recognition.

Served as President of the Energy Research Company (EPE), responsible for energy planning studies that support the formulation of public policies by the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), to which the company is affiliated.

Since 2013, Associate Researcher at the Institute for Research in Technology (IIT) at Comillas University in Madrid, Spain.

Since 2010, lecturer at the annual summer school on energy regulation organized by the Florence School of Regulation (FSR) in Italy.
