This project focuses on the modeling and optimization of the operation of thermoelectric plants integrated with regasification terminals, considering operational uncertainties. The operation involves the acquisition of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), transported by ships and stored in floating terminals, which regasify and send the gas to the thermoelectric plants. The process faces challenges such as weather conditions, logistical delays, price variations, and uncertainties in energy dispatch. To deal with these uncertainties, the project uses stochastic optimization techniques, seeking to minimize operating costs based on forecast scenarios. Furthermore, investment alternatives, such as new storage units and thermal plants, are modeled to evaluate expansion strategies.
