PSR launches first edition of the Analytics Report, a new publication on energy and innovation

On july, 2025, PSR launched the first edition of the PSR Analytics Report, a new publication dedicated to sharing the latest advances in energy analysis, focusing on modeling methodologies, high-performance computing, and research.
The Analytics Report inaugurates a continuous space for reflection, studies, and innovations that represent PSR’s presence in the market. The publication offers a detailed overview of how the company has developed and applied advanced analytical tools to support decision-making in the energy sector, reinforcing its role as a reference in innovative solutions.
The debut edition brings together analyses on key topics for the sector. Highlights include lessons learned from the PSR User Meeting 2025, an event attended by over 170 participants from 20 countries, and the latest developments in SDDP 18.0, the new version of the platform for planning the operation and expansion of energy systems. This version now covers the entire energy industry and includes a detailed representation of the electricity transmission grid.
The report also features case studies on the advancement of curtailment in Brazil and the planning of large hydroelectric projects in Central Asia, as well as an analysis of the use of grid-enhancing technologies (GETs) in Colombia. The publication also presents a new methodology for measuring the reliability, flexibility, and resilience of interconnected electricity systems, as well as an overview of PSR’s recent contributions to academia, highlighting participation in events and scientific publications.
