PSR advised I Squared Capital, a global infrastructure investment manager, on the decision to invest US$400 million in Órigo Energia, a Brazilian distributed generation (DG) company that has more than 300 MWp in DG assets and around 100 thousand customers in the states of Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Ceará, Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo and the Federal District.

PSR provided regulatory support, a study of the current scenario and projections of the DG market in Brazil, in addition to an analysis of the competitiveness of solar DG from the consumer’s point of view.

The transaction reinforces PSR’s experience in providing advisory services, combining regulatory support, quantitative analyses and strategic guidance to support successful investments in the energy sector.
