PSR Workshop Brings Sponsors Together to Discuss Strategic Issues in the Electricity Sector

The main topics under discussion in the National Congress and their potential impacts on the Brazilian energy market were discussed in a exclusive workshop held in July by PSR with a select group of sponsors of the PSR/Canal Energia 2025 Workshop, held in March of this year.
The meeting brought together C-level representatives, partners, and executives from the energy sector to discuss the current state of the electricity industry, in a context of significant legislative and regulatory developments. Highlights included topics such as Provisional Measure 1300, the consequences of the vetoes to the offshore wind energy legal framework, and the next steps for the Capacity Reserve Auction in the form of power (LRCAP, from its acronym in Portuguese).
The discussions were led by Luiz Barroso, CEO of PSR, and company experts, who shared their insights into the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the future of the Brazilian electricity sector.
The workshop was attended by representatives from Spic Brasil, Enel, Engie, Light COM, Pontal Energy, Cemig, Copel, Eneva, Demarest, Veirano Advogados and Wald Advogados, who were able to exchange experiences and deepen their understanding of the changes that are occurring and how they may shape the country’s energy scenario.
