Time Series Lab - Advanced Renewable Modeling
About TSL 2.3
Time Series Lab (TSL) recreates historical records of renewable generation and produces correlated future scenarios for SDDP studies. Version 2.3 adds support for bifacial solar modules, whose rear side also captures irradiance reflected from the ground and the sky. Solar historical records are now generated in parallel, which reduces processing time, and users can provide their own temperature series for solar and CSP plants.
For wind plants, series can now be downscaled using their daily and seasonal cycles, in addition to the long-term mean wind speed from the Global Wind Atlas. Each plant’s daily and monthly wind speed profiles are shown directly on the map. Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) has new parameters: the conductor surface temperature can be entered by the user or calculated from the line specifications. Memory management and data processing are also more efficient across the tool.
